Alexander McQueen Is Fostering Creativity and Music During Covid-19

As a house, Alexander McQueen is trying to be proactive by creatively engaging followers on social media, encouraging all through the lockdown by showing opportunities to be more creative with producing content on ways to cope with the Covid-10 Pandemic crises.

With the inspiration from the Sarabande Collection by Lee McQueen, featured on the exhibition Roses, in 27 Old Bond Street, anyone is invited to create a 3D flower using any material one may find in their home. By photographing your design, and tagging @AlexanderMcQueen #McQueenCreators, your creation will be featured on their social channels.

Turning to music, the House has created a playlist curated by John Gosling. The imitative- #McQueenMusic allows this curated music by Gosling, who has been responsible for creating over 20 years of iconic Alexander McQueen fashion shows for menswear and womenswear to be streamed into anyone’s home. This playlist is available on Spotify.

And the House is working with Isobel Waller-Bridge and the London Contemporary Orchestra - who respectively composed and performed the live soundtrack for the Alexander McQueen SS20 womenswear show to create further playlists and record new music available to share with audiences in the future.
