Jelly Roll Tops The Music Charts For The Sixth Week With His Track I Am Not Ok

Jelly To Return To Headline Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Tuesday, November 26

Music artist Jason DeFord, known by his stage name Jelly Roll is just one of those artists that resonates with people. His challenging life journey translates into his raw lyrics, that people can relate to. So, it’s no wonder that his song “I Am Not Ok” has been #1 for six consecutive weeks on the Billboard Country Airplay and the Mediabase Country charts. And turning to Canada, the song is also #1 at Canadian Country Radio.

All of these #1’s have translated to some noteworthy nominations. Jelly Roll is nominated for three CMA Awards (that will take place on November 20, 2024 in Nashville), which includes Entertainer of the Year. “I Am Not Ok,” was written by Jelly Roll, Taylor Phillips, Ashley Gorley, and Casey Brown, and is a part of his sophomore album Beautifully Broken. The album has earned him high critical praise of his career so far from outlets like Rolling Stone, NPR, and Associated Press

"Thank you to country radio, the team, and the label for taking the first single from the Beautifully Broken album to #1,” said Jelly Roll to Billboard recently. “And to everyone who has supported this song along the way. I believe in the power that music has to connect with people and being able to see the response out on the road touring and seeing and hearing from people about this song, it’s been unreal. I want to thank the other co-writers for creating something that is incredible and that I am so proud of. Thank you to the fans for believing in the music and for being a part of this - for calling the stations and asking to hear it. If you had told me before that I would have six consecutive #1 at Country radio, I wouldn’t have believed you. Thank you for continuing to shine a light on therapeutic music."

I’ve seen Jelly Roll perform in Nashville and he gives his all, connecting with the audience, sharing his ups and downs of life. He’s an open book and just an all-around down-to-earth artist. He’s also a humanitarian, once donating a recording studio to the juvenile detention center he once served in as a teen. He’s real, he’s honest, he feels deeply, and his lyrics are raw and relatable. You can’t help but be a successful artist when you’re like this. Jelly Roll has a lot to say in his music and the world stops and just listens.

November is a jam-packed month for Jelly Roll with performances all over the US. He will close out the month performing at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on November 26th. Find out more information and get tickets at jellyroll615.com.
