Last month I was traveling in Italy and I kept seeing women in the country wearing double strap sandals. Now, this style of sandal has never really been my cup of tea but you know how it is when you see someone wearing something you’ve never found stylish, and all of a sudden you like it. That’s how it was for me. As I kept seeing the double strap sandal, I had to have a pair. So, one Saturday afternoon I was at OVS perusing around the store with a friend, and I found a gold pair. I tried them on and it was love at first sight.

In 1973 Birkenstock invented what we know now as the two-strap sandal. The adjustable strap became popular with the ergonomic foot bed, and let me tell you, they’re comfortable.
