God Our Shepherd

When we give our lives to Jesus, He takes us on an incredible journey. To follow Him is one of the best decisions one can make, but one of the most challenging and bumpy rides we will take. I wouldn’t regret my decision for anything- even with all the mistakes, challenges, and let downs I’ve faced. I hope you wouldn’t’ either ;) In my 4 ½ years of seriously following Jesus, I see Him as my shepherd.

There are over 270 names for God in the Bible, and every name represents from facets of His character and personality. His name “Yahweh Roeh,” means the “Lord Who is There.” Yahweh means Lord and Roeh, means shepherd. We see that in the 23rd Psalm, where David says, “Yahweh is my Roeh” or The Lord is my shepherd.

Right now, at this season of my life, I’m seeing God as my shepherd. He is our shepherd, our guide, our refuge, and our strength. It is with His spirit that He protects us, orders our steps, leads us into opportunities, convicts us, and comforts us.

In whatever you may be going through, our shepherd stands ready to help us. Just lean on Him and He will guide you.

Happy Friday Xxx!
