And it’s a good model of what healthy relationships should look like

On April 4th, Parmalee unveiled their new album Fell In Love With A Cowgirl, produced by David Fanning and James Daniel Lewis. Comprised of brothers Matt and Scott Thomas (lead vocals/guitar and drums, respectively), Cousin Barry Knox (bass), and lifelong friend Josh McSwain (guitar/keyboard), their tenure the group has produced five US #1 singles, multiple platinum records, and over 1 Billion on-demand streams. In a world of instant relationships, Parmalee reminds us that wholesome relationships are still desirable and admired.

With seven songs, track 1 “Feels Like Home” is a story of love, of respect, and an acknowledgement of a man’s gratitude of meeting the woman of his dreams. Flowing in line with other album tracks, the group of four is showing what healthy relationships look like. Track 2, “Day One” promotes marriage and how a man knows from day one that a woman is for him. “God Knows Better” is a mid-tempo song that thanks God for sending the woman that calms a reckless heart. Written by a talented group of songwriters from Abram Dean, David Fanning, Jamie Collazo, Andy Albert, and the bandmates who describe the song “like running into an old friend you didn’t know you needed to see.”

The track list:

1. Feels Like Home (Ashley Gorley, David Fanning, Matt Thomas, Beau Bailey, Ned Cameron)

2. Day One (Ashley Gorley, David Fanning, Matt Thomas, Steph Jones, Ben Johnson, Taylor Phillips)

3. God Knew Better (Abram Dean, David Fanning, Jamie Collazo, Andy Albert, Parmalee)

6. Beautiful (Matt Thomas, David Fanning, Michael Tyler, Ben Stennis)

7. Miss Me When You’re Drinkin’ (Matt Thomas, Ben Williams, David Fanning, Andy Sheridan)

Fell In Love With A Cowboy is part of a new sound of contemporary Country Music that resonates with listeners. The album is part of a two-part album series that details love’s quiet comforts to wild, carefree nights.

In 2023, Parmalee was the most played group on Country Radio. Their breakout hit “Carolina,” “Just the Way,” and “Take My Name” have captured audiences. They closed out 2024 with their fourth consecutive #1 “Gonna Love You.” In February they kicked off their “Fell In Love With A Cowgirl” Tour in North America. This tour and new album are refreshing and promotes healthy love. They’re just a group that keeps you guessing what their next #1 hit is going to be.
