1 Hotels just announced that it’s taking reservations for its Seattle hotel that will be debuting in April 2025. If you’ve ever stayed in a 1 Hotel, you’ll know that it’s magical, but in a nature way. Set in the South Lake Union neighborhood, the hotel that sits in the center of Seattle emerging biotech and big-tech industries. With sustainable sensibilities, the hotel brings out the “restorative beauty” of America’s Pacific Northwest.

“Seattle has always been a city that values sustainability, innovation, and connection to nature,” says Barry Sternlicht, founder of 1 Hotels and Chairman of SH Hotels & Resorts (soon to be Starwood Hotels). “With 1 Hotel Seattle, we’ve created a property that not only reflects the city’s natural surroundings but also champions our mission to redefine what luxury hospitality can be through sustainable practices.”

As guests enter the hotel they will firstly notice the bright lobby and greenery on the living wall. Also palpable in the space is a sizable fireplace made by local craftsmen, where people can sit around and relax or converse. A stone’s throw out the front doors is the Climate Pledge Arena and Amazon’s headquarters. And the hotel house cars, the Audi Q8 e-trons (which are fully electric, as we wouldn’t expect anything less from Seattle) can take guests to local sites like the Space Needle, the waterfront, and Pike Place Market.

With 153 guest rooms and 45 suites, it’s quite literally a nature sanctuary with luxury sensibilities. Rooms have natural light due to the large windows that offer views of Seattle. You’ll find reclaimed wood finishes, stone-clad millwork, moss-inspired art installations, and live-edge furniture made by the city’s furniture craftsmen. All of these distinct touches are meant to highlight nature’s imperfections. Bathrooms come with 1 Hotels signature bath products and their exclusive line of conscious products made by Bamford Wellness Spa. Rooms simultaneously are luxuriously comfortable while reducing impact on the environment.

The onsite restaurant La Loba, by Chef Oscar Amador serves up Barcelona inspired, Mediterranean, and Japanese delights. While the cocktails are curated by Joseph Mikulich, who carefully pairs creations with your ordered dish.

1 Hotels are known for their wellness facilities, and The Field House, a state-of-the-art fitness center with Peloton bikes and other top gym equipment make for a good workout.
