Our top summer poolside spots to drink something cold and sip an espresso

So, beach clubs are nothing new. It’s said that Nikki Beach is the father of the first modern beach club, as we know them. They are a delight to spend summertime at. When luxury fashion brands decided to enter the beach club space, and put their branding on umbrellas, signage, in the pool itself, on pillows, and include a pop-up shop with swimwear and beach worthy accessories, things changed.

Now, you can lounge by a hotel or a resort’s pool, under the branded influence of a fashion luxury brand. But, luxury beach clubs are not just for the sake of looking cute. They are strategically purposed by fashion brands. “This strategic summer marketing tool, combines experiential retail with aspirational lifestyle branding,” wrote Opulent Stylings, an independent voice on luxury fashion in a May Instagram post. “Typically set in glamorous coastal destinations like Ibiza, Mykonos, St. Tropez, and Capri, brands are targeting places frequented by affluent, style-conscious travelers, who are both high-spending and highly active on social media.”

These clubs are Instagram worthy hotspots, attracting people to their colorful locations. “The environments are carefully curated and they are designed to sell a lifestyle as much as a product,” continues Opulent Style. They’re obviously working and bringing retention to brands, because luxury fashion houses keep coming back summer after summer at different resorts in Europe and North America.

These are top 5 beach clubs for summer 2025, including a sky bar in Sicily:

Until October 7th, you can sit under banana yellow, and coconut milk white and black stripe Jacquemus parasols that stretch out to the pier, at Monte-Carlo Beach Club. Partnering with Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer, guests can sip espressos at the pool café, and lay out on the banana yellow beach towels. There are also two boutiques within the resort where guests can purchase resort-esque products.

Dolce&Gabbana at San Domenico Palace (Four Seasons) | Sicily, Italy-

If you watched season two of The White Lotus, then you know this resort all too well. Around the pool you’ll find blue and white Dolce&Gabbana print on the sunbeds, on the umbrellas, and on the terrace. Of course, there is a pop-up shop where you can fulfill all your D&G needs. And, the famed Italian brand is not only at one resort, they’re at two others: Casa Amor in Saint Tropez and Le Carillon in Portofino.

Burberry at The Standard | Ibiza, Spain-

Burberry is another brand bringing yellow vibes to a luxury hotel. The custom check design is featured on rooftop sunbeds, umbrellas, and seating.

Missoni at OKU Ibiza | Ibiza, Spain-

Lasting until the end of the summer season, you’ll be mesmerized by all the turquoise Missoni stripes. The tiki parasols give southeast Asia or Hawaiian vibes. There are sunbeds as well as multi-person lounge chairs. Missoni also has a beach club at Hôtel Swexan in Dallas, Texas; Nikki Beach in Sardinia; and at The Ritz-Carlton in Bali, Indonesia.

Gucci at Loulou Ramatuelle | South of France-

Nestled on the Côte d’Azur, specifically on the Pampelonne shore is a Gucci getaway. Also mesmerized by yellow, the umbrellas contrast well with the white and navy sunbeds. Each bed gets an interlocking G embroidered pillow. The boutique features Gucci wear with a warm weather selection, with items that are exclusive to the region. The bar includes curated cocktails by Giardino 25 and café items.

With warm neutral colors and lots of foliage, the sky bar pops with blue and white Louis Vuitton cushions on the chairs. The boutique includes beach breeze pieces and beach décor.

Other beach clubs include Dior at Il Riccio in Capri, Italy; Alberta Ferretti at Hotel de Mar Gran Meliá in Mallorca; and Sézane has a pop up at the Maidstone in East Hampton, New York. All clubs will stay open until the end of the summer season.
