Warmer Together: Al Pacino and Robert De Niro Team Up For Their First Fashion Campaign With Moncler

The two cinema legends and friends partake in this fashion message, one with deep and timely meaning

Moncler is known for its skiwear, but this new campaign with iconic and legendary actors Al Pacino and Robert De Niro about more than just being warm with outerwear. The Alps founded brand was created in 1952 to protect mountain climbers and workers from extreme cold temperatures. But for Moncler warmth comes from within, not outside.

“For decades, Moncler has been associated with winter and puffer jackets, but I have always felt that Moncler is about something deeper: love and a sense of togetherness,” says Remo Ruffini, Chairman and CEO of Moncler in campaign notes. “These values have shaped everything we’ve done for over 70 years. Across every product and every campaign, there runs a consistent thread of emotion and human connection. Through their story of friendship, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro embody everything Moncler truly stands for: affection, warmth, and the belief that we are all better and warmer together.”

In defining warmth, Moncler notes that it’s in the showing up for people, looking out for others, bringing people together, sharing memories, and striving to stay close to others. Quite simply, warmth is connecting to others, and in a world where individualism and not bearing with others in life’s burdens, this is a much-needed reminder that speaks volumes.

The campaign was shot by photographer Platon, in a collection of black and white photos and a series of videos with five themes: Friendship, Respect, Connection, Trust, and Warmth.

“Warmth was never about the outside. It was always about what was happening on the inside,” says De Niro in a teaser released ahead of the launch to share the Warmer Together manifesto. “Friendship is the greatest thing you can have. Friends, people whom you share the same world with. There is just an innate trust. And the understanding of life,” says Pacino.

Moncler ambassador Tobe Nwigwe and with his wife Fat, have recorded a new rendition of Bill Withers’ classic song Lean on Me. The song enhances the campaign’s message of comfort found in companionship. The track, the film, the photography, and the NYC skyline reflects the campaign’s cinematic spirit and larger message of togetherness.
Following the launch of this campaign a second wave of films and behind-the-scenes moments in the days after are to come.
