The very feminine brand unveils a collection of wearable sculptures
The mostly sunny fashion week continued with the Australian brand Aje, unveiling their SS26 collection REBEL REBEL at Palais de Tokyo. Supported by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode, it was also made possible by ghd and Wella Professionals. Held during late morning, the crisp fall temps and peeking of orange and yellow on trees was poignant as the co-founders, Adrian Norris and Edwina Forest debuted their first show in the City of Lights.
It is the avant-garde artists of the 20th century that inspired the very feminine collection. Skirts are sheer, shirts are sheer, pleats and ruffled layers give way to movement, and tops have flamboyant shapes- there’s nothing boring about the silhouettes. Both Norris and Forest put figure and form at the center of the collection. “A moving museum of wearable sculptures, the season rescripts Aje handwriting in innovative textures, tones and detailing,” explains the brand in notes.
“Paris holds a deeply personal place in our journey, from our long-standing wholesale endeavors to my time spent living here. We could not have imagined a more fitting city to debut REBEL REBEL. It represented both a sense of homecoming and a bold step forward as we continue our global expansion,” said Forest in collection notes. "Presenting at Paris Fashion Week marked a defining moment in Aje’s evolution and one that we are immensely proud of. After 17 years of building Aje, showing in Paris marks a pivotal milestone for us as a brand as we continue to build our presence worldwide,” said Norris.
Aje was founded in 2008 and is known for its coastal-to-urban style. The brand has 45 stores across Australia and New Zealand, with three e-commerce websites for the Australian, New Zealand, and international markets (221 countries in total).
With its sights firmly set on Europe, Aje will open its first international concession in Parisian department store Printemps’ flagship store, starting in February 2026. And, REBEL REBEL will launch internationally in February 2026 as well.
