Celine’s AW20 Collection Takes Us Back 70s

As AW20 Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, Friday night’s coveted spot of shows went to Celine. Creative director, Hedi Slimane took us back to the 70s with oh-so very French and British looks, with hints of American style as well.

Born to a Tunisian father and Italian mother, but raised in Paris, Slimane puts a strong design focus on the era of his growing up years in Paris. The street style of that decade is reiterated over and over in Slimane’s collections. With distinct 70s era music, the women’s line up included capes, denim, pussybow blouses, shaggy coats, as well as accessories that fit the era.
