Novikov Café In Dubai Is The Restaurant Where There’s Something For Everyone

Located in the Dubai Mall is Novikov Café, a Mayfair luxury restaurant brand that made its presence in the city in 2022. Its Mediterranean fare serves something for everyone, making it one of the best date night, family meal, business luncheon, breakfast, and coffee spots in the heart of Dubai. Its Mediterranean inspired menu and intimate setting makes the brasserie a place you won’t want to leave.
There are three ambience options: to eat at the entrance where you will get a feel of the kinesthetic energy of the mall, to eat inside the restaurant which is cozier, or to eat on the outdoor patio- the perfect option for spring or the winter months. They’re all delightful, whichever option you choose.
Under the culinary direction of Riccardo Stevan, the restaurant’s Head Chef who sources local ingredients from the UAE. You’ll find he has crafted an all-encompassing menu. Dishes are modern yet steeped in tradition like the wood-coal-cooked plates. The first thing you’ll notice is that the menu has a lot of items. Sometimes menus can be overwhelming when they’re expansive but this menu, though large, caters to all palette yearnings. There are starters, raw bar items and sushi, as well as salads, pasta and risotto- and fish and meat options.

A good place to start is with one of the mocktails. (Do note, all Dubai Mall restaurants serve non-alcoholic drinks as is stipulated by Emaar). The Mojito is one of the best we’ve managed to taste in Dubai so far, and the Mango nº5, which is reminiscent of a Piña Colada hits all the taste buds. The burrata and the calamari with citrus mayonnaise make for good starting options. But there are options from Borsch Soup, Bruschetta, and Grilled Prawns. Also known for their sushi, you must try a roll. Spicy Tuna Roll, Scallop and Truffle Roll, and California Maki Roll are all on the menu. We opted for the Crispy Salmon Cheese Roll, a unique creation with melted cheese. It's not your normal take on a sushi roll. The Grilled Scottish Salmon with Hollandaise and salmon caviar or the Sea Bass fillet cooked in a Mediterranean style pairs well with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
Since its opening in 2022, Novikov Café has caught the attention of Dubai’s most notable names like Sheikha Mahra Al Maktoum. Novikov has 300 plus restaurants in cities like Jeddah, AlUla, Bodrum, and Beverly Hills and is expanding further in Dubai. In 2026 it will open as a beach club at the Gran Melia Port de La Mer with beach access and a private beach, along with a lounge.
