Parmalee Drops Another Single: Girl In Mine

Parmalee, the Country Music band from Parmalee, North Carolina broke the radio this summer with ‘Take My Name.’ The quartet has now released another single: ‘Girl In Mine.’ The Morning Hangover has called the group, “one of the most under-reported success stories of the last year,” and how true this is. Having had several number 1 hits from ‘Carolina,’ to ‘Just the Way,’ and the aforementioned song of the summer, they’re due the bigger platform that’s due them- especially with having over a billion on-demand streams.

‘Girl In Mine,’ is due to land on Country Music radio on August 22nd, but it’s possible to listen now in whichever way you consume music. “With ‘Just The Way’ and ‘Take My Name,’ we really found something that connected with our fans,” notes Matt Thomas of Parmalee. “We look forward to continuing that with our new single.”

The guys are a Platinum-selling band, and only one of four groups since 2001 to ear three consecutive Top 10 singles from a debut Country album. It was their single ‘Just The Way,’ with Blanco Brown, who they call a friend that helped them return to the top of the charts. Two of the quartet are brothers, Matt and Scott Thomas- the former handling lead vocals and the guitar and the latter who plays the drums. While their cousin Barry Knox plays bass, and their life-long friend Josh McSwain is also a part of the group.

They’re currently on tour with Walker Hayes, as well as headlining their own tour dates.
