Why Clementine Sleepwear’s Silver Ion Organic Silk Collection Is Just What The Doctor Ordered

Los Angeles based organic Mulberry silk brand, Clementine Sleepwear has just launched their silver ion organic collection. Anna Cinquina and her husband John launched Clementine Sleepwear in 2023. Anna is all about having quality sleep, and as she continues to study and research sleep, she and her team strive to create products that will enhance better sleep practices. So, when she read about silver ions being infused into silk, she was on it.
“I’m really passionate about skin and hair health, and our customers are as well,” Anna tells Seele. “I’d been reading clinical studies from researchers who infused silver ions into silk to enhance its healing properties. The results from the studies were amazing (especially for acne) but no one was really creating it and it’s never been done with organic silk. So, we got to work, figuring out how to bond silver ions into organic silk. As it turns out, organic silk is amazing, but when you embed it with silver ions, you supercharge its benefits from wound healing, to hair repair and bacteria elimination.”
So, what Clementine Sleepwear has done is combined silver ions into their 100% GOTS certified organic 6A silk though situ silver nano particle synthetization, a unique process. For now, Clementine Sleepwear is the only sleepwear brand on the market with organic silver ion in their silk products, which brings relief to all skin types.
Since launching the brand, Anna has had people approach her about their chronic skin battles, from acne, to eczema, and hair loss. “It’s a common issue for so many of us out there. As someone who has had to deal and manage eczema, dermatitis and yes adult acne too, I know first-hand the pain, frustration and embarrassment you can feel especially when these conditions are on display to the world. The process of creating a silver ion silk line
“At first, I wanted to add silver ion silk to every product but in reality, I think it’s most powerful when used on pillowcases, sleep masks, and hair bonnets. These are the areas that really benefit because they have high contact with the face and hair,” says Anna. “We’d already spent a lot of time designing and redesigning these 3 products to get them right. For instance, our sleep mask was redesigned so many times to get the contour, size, and shape just right. That’s why it’s 20% larger than most silks and has a lot more organic silk filler, because we tested it for blackout. So, the hardest part was figuring out the silver ion process itself.”
The benefits are many. Products in the line can eliminate 99.9% of acne-causing bacteria, while aiding the treatment of inflammatory skin conditions like eczema.
