Your Salt And Your Light Are More Powerful Than You Think
I’ve really been aware the past two weeks of how much salt and light matter to those around us. It often may feel and seem that those around us aren’t seeing our faith or getting enough of Jesus. But, they are, even though we may not realize it.
It can often feel like people aren’t influenced by the Jesus in us because they aren’t saying it. But let us not underestimate that Jesus is all over us, especially to those who are so far from Him. It may be in our energy, that their spirit can recognize that something in our spirit is different. It may be in conversation that while it be riddled with meekness and kindness, it’s also bold and challenging to how they think and what they believe about various things. It may be in how followers of Christ will choose not to participate in what a non-follower of Christ is choosing to participate in. They will see and realize the Jesus in us.
The living Holy Spirit on the inside of us will penetrate those around us and we should never underestimate this power. I think that to the ungodly and or those who have gotten far away from God, when their spirit encounters our spirit, we are an amusement to them. They don’t know how to take our presence. We are far more spiritual then we realize and two spirits coming together can shift the atmosphere.
Because of my line of work, I’m often covering events and around people of influence. I’m constantly around celebrities, the 1%, or powerful people and I love it. Not because I bask being around famous people because it’s an opportunity to shine the light of Jesus- and I simply love meeting new people who are different from me. My salt, light and seed planting has been used- just like yours is being use.
Let us not forget that if we are plugged into Father, Son and Holy Spirit those around us- those who follow the Lord and those who don’t will notice our fruit. People are paying far more attention to use than we may realize, as we are paying attention to them. And we are ambassadors for our real home Heaven, so may we not forget to shine the light of Christ wherever we go.
