The Stella McCartney Spring 2024 Lady Garden Collection Is Feminine and Sustainable
The collection is all things revolving around community, femininity, friendship, and fashion- while being 90% made from responsible materials
Stella McCartney has just plunged into the world of beauty and just launched her own beauty supplement: the Alter-Care Supplement, but also in stores is her Spring 2024 Collection, with her magnifique Lady Garden prints.

Drawn by McCartney in her London atelier, she wanted a collection where women feel ageless, where they can ignore society’s pressures and feel free without judgement or compromise. So, why not do it through nature, something the British designer is passionate about, along with her love of being eco-friendly. The collection draws upon the styles from the early stages of her career of a color palette of neutrals, black, white, camel, raspberry, grey, oat, caramel, gesso, faded khaki green, floral pink, sky blue, grass, tangerine, and ginger tones.

Surrealism lies at the heart of this collection, where its tones can be seen in day to night halter dresses, pussy bow shirts, deconstructed shirts, and dresses with asymmetric cape-sleeves and rouleau straps. Adding in masculine touches, which are present on shirts and t-shirt mini dresses. A “casual American attitude” seen on men’s shirts are incorporated on blue organic cotton poplin dresses. And sculpted blazers are styled with skirts that have double slits.
A unique touch are the day-to-night corsets with metal front fastenings, showing boning detailing, which are taken from McCartney’s personal archive. And, knitwear is tailored to the body’s curves, while oversized cardigans made of alpaca yarn give a cape effect.
The accessories are cute and eco-friendly, making up the fact that ninety-percent of the collection is made from responsible materials. The Frayme mini bucket bag is made from MIRUM®, a plant-based, plastic-free alternative, and circular alternative to animal leather. Like the Winter 2023 collection, accessories in the Spring 2024 collection are made from Appleskin™️, cruelty-free crocodile, smooth VEGEA, and apple and grape waste.

This is a collection that McCartney and her team wanted to be free from a lot of things, from animal leather, feathers, fur skins, and instead be made from forest-friendly viscose, GOTS-certified organic cotton and silk, regenerative cotton, recycled nylon, GRS recycled cashmere, RAS alpaca wool, recycled polyester and RWS wool from traceable sources.
