SEELE [say-la]: the German word for soul

THE BEGINNING-

What started off as encouraging Friday texts in 2013 to Ally’s closest friends morphed into a Friday blog two years later. And today, SEELE is a digital magazine focusing on faith and lifestyle with a readership in over 100 countries.

Seele is an American faith and lifestyle magazine with a straightforward edge, delving into topics that can soothe the challenges of life and stir the soul, with a bit of fashion, travel, film, music, and books.

With 12 years of professional experience and having lived in 9 countries, with a background in International Relations, Ally has worked in private, nonprofit, and public sectors. Over the past 4 years she has developed an eye for couture craftsmanship, and she has learned how to put intricate and detailed collections into words. As a result, Ally has developed relationships with some of the world's most leading brands, covering four Paris Fashion Week shows a year, as well as fashion shows by Arab and European fashion houses. She currently writes for The Hollywood Reporter and Euronews, with bylines in Forbes, Harpers Bazaar, Refinery 29, and Vogue.

You will often find in life that challenges and high moments, valleys and peaks occur in cycles. When you come out of a season of pain and hurt, you will walk into a season of overflow and joy. This is how God often works. And it was in a season of extreme pain and challenge in 2012 that SEELE Magazine was born, but not in the form that you see it now. Seele started off as encouraging text messages to Ally's friends in 2013, and now it's an online magazine.

Having lived in Berlin and Beirut Ally, worked with refugees from over 15 nationalities in Germany, and with Syrian refugees in Lebanon. And every year since 2015, Ally has organized an International Women’s Day panel discussion, with the intent of bringing women together to discuss the importance of recognizing women’s achievements.
