Trained at London's Royal College of Art, bespoke Taiwanese footwear designer, Rachel Chang explains what you should keep in mind about the shoes you are wearing. From comfort to care, she explains what shoe shoppers should be thinking about before buying a pair of shoes.

). Comfort. Check if the shoe fits your feet well by walking, standing, or running in them. Some shoes you need to spend time to wear them, to see if they really fit your feet correctly. It’s kind of like making new friends, you will need to spend some times see if you getting on well with each other.

). The material of the entire shoe. For example- Leather, Fabric, a Rubber sole etc.- these types of materials can affect the price, comfort as well how long the shoe will last.

). Learn to take good care of them. Like a car, we have to clean and maintain our shoes.

). Make sure you store them well. Humidity can affect a pair of shoe’s life. After wearing a pair of shoes all day, ventilate them over night before you store them.

). A cobbler is your shoe's doctor!
