Who do you seek to please?

It’s exhausting to try and please other people and worry about what they think we should do or not do. And even though their advice may come from a good place, we will only find freedom through seeking to please God above all else.

"We have been given gifts and talents for the purpose of serving our generation.”

God has placed every single person on earth for a reason and we all have a call on our lives to be servants and help those around us. We have not been given our degrees or expertise to solely enjoy the finer things in life. As Christine Caine has stated many times, “we have been given gifts and talents for the purpose of serving our generation.” And therefore, we must humble ourselves before God and seek Him, to find out why He has put us on this earth. No one will be able to do this for us; no one but God.

When we let others' expectations drive us, we scatter our energy...

We can only have one master, it’s either going to be the world, which will cause us to be more worldly. Or, it’s either going to be walking in the fullness of God’s plan and purpose for our lives, which will allow us to receive good things from Him. When we let others’ expectations drive us, we scatter our energy.

If God is our master, He will not drive us to be what we are not. Our pretense displeases Him, especially when it is in His “service.” Let us concentrate on staying close to Him at all times. It is impossible to be inauthentic while we are focusing on His Presence and trusting in His plan for our lives.
