A Fresh Start: 2 Ways To Be More Fashionable This Year

Last year, the world was caught off-guard and everything changed drastically with the pandemic. Although the pandemic is still ongoing, this year marks a new start for everyone. Here’s two ways that you can be more fashionable than you were the last year.

The first way to a fresh start is to follow one goal that you have in mind for this year (and no, I’m not talking about those day-old resolutions that are never followed through or hopelessly abandoned because the thought of implementing those goals makes us cringe). This is a goal that you absolutely intend on keeping. It’s actually a really easy goal to be more fashionable and you can do this by making a choice to dress up better than you did the last year. Make it a point to not wear PJs outside (unless that’s your style, but make sure those PJs look good and are not worn out. Imagine running into a friend or a colleague after months of being confined at home, while wearing this terrible outfit. No thank you!) So please, do yourself a favor, and dress up! You’ll feel good that you did so.

Another way to be more fashionable is to dress up at home. The pandemic may have brought out the lazy side of us that dislikes wearing a normal outfit even at home, but come on, who wants to be sitting at home in PJs or old sweatpants the whole entire day, even if you are working from home? The moment you dress up for work or even dress up just because you really want to, you become more productive and more energetic (it’s like tricking your mind that the day is normal and the world is fine even when it isn’t). Choose sweatpants that look nice and are comfy if you do want to wear sweatpants with a t-shirt.

The pandemic may be far from over, but that doesn’t mean we have to dress up like we don’t care anymore. Make it a goal to be more fashionable this year and you’ll see how much better you’ll feel about everything. After all, dressing up is an act of self-love. Now you’re off to a fresh start!
