A New Year, New Wardrobe: 3 Ways to Reinvent Our Existing Wardrobe

A new year is upon us and that means a new wardrobe! Well, not necessarily. Here’s three easy ways to reinvent our existing wardrobe.

The easiest way to refresh our wardrobe is to see what we have in our closets right now. If we have the basic items needed for the year like workwear essentials, partywear, or even some casualwear, then we’re all set. Why do we need to spend on new clothing when we already have plenty to work with? It’s easy to combine whatever we have in new ways, such as a shirt with a pair of pants, or a skirt with a nice office shirt.

Even clothing that you thought only works for the office or partywear that you thought only works for events and all, might work for the office as well. You just need to see what suits you best in each situation and dress accordingly. Nowadays there’s clothing that can work for every occasion, and that’s the best type of clothing that you can’t go wrong with. Invest in key pieces that are good for any situation, and you’ll end up saving a lot too. Your closet won’t be so cluttered either. And if you think about it, we won’t face the problem of what to wear the next day since it’ll be easier to find outfits that work for us almost right away!

Another way to infuse our wardrobe with zest is to go through whatever clothing you might think is old, worn-out, or tight, and put those aside or donate them. Once you do that, then you can see what you can wear from your wardrobe, and it’ll be way easier for you to decide if you need to buy anything new (chances are you may not need to anyways). Any clothing like jeans that are tight or ripped, shirts that are totally worn-out in color, or even joggers that have lost its elasticity, should be given away or donated. Those are the type of items that need to be bought again if you don’t have any more of those pieces to wear.

We don’t have to spend money to get a whole new wardrobe. We simply need to see what we have in our closets, consider any clothing that can work for all situations, and remove anything that may not be working for us anymore. Afterall, saving money is fashionable.
