Finding peace in the midst of life’s uncertainties can feel impossible, but Kara Stout’s new devotional, An Untroubled Heart: Calming Anxiety and Finding God’s Peace, serves as a gentle reminder that God’s comfort is always within reach. This inspiring 30-day devotional invites readers to begin each morning in God’s presence and end each day in his calming embrace, providing a rhythm of peace for anxious hearts.

In An Untroubled Heart, Stout shares glimpses into her own struggles including recovering from a carotid artery dissection, struggling with infertility, facing financial hardship, caring for her mother during her cancer journey and eventually losing her, after having already lost her father. She encourages readers to turn to God to find solace and experience his grace and love when they are feeling anxious, fearful, sad or overwhelmed.

“Right now may be a time in your life that feels incredibly hard and overwhelming,” writes Stout. “You may have tried to hold on to peace, but circumstances and trials have made it difficult. Or maybe you have become so used to anxiety that you are accustomed to its presence. But oh, friend, there is a remedy for the troubles of your heart. This morning and evening devotional is designed as daily reminder that God is the remedy. As you read and pray each morning and night, may you feel His nearness, comfort, and peace so that you can rest, truly rest, in His steadfast love.”

With stunning full-color art throughout, each scripture-based reflections includes scripture, a heartfelt prayer and practical encouragement, reminding readers that God is greater than their worries and more present than their anxious thoughts.
