Designed for the woman on the go

This week the House of Diane Von Furstenberg shared their new denim collection with the world. Playful and quintessentially DVF (because the brand is known for its bold prints and how it empowers women). It’s ideally made for the working woman, and to tell her sartorial story, silhouettes are structured, stretchy, and statement-making. Right away, it gets an A+ because, as we know,d denim isn’t the easiest of textiles to move in, but it’s so easy to move in all of the looks.

According to DVF, these are the key pieces:

The Luisa Dress, a chambray ruffled gown; the Michele Jumpsuit, a favorite, recut in denim knit and inspired by Diane’s Studio 54 days; and the Mabel Pants and Blair Jacket, an irreverent take on traditional denim, floral printed and cut into an oversized suit.

Denim jersey is a stretch knit making it easy to move, and in the collection, it’s paired with classic denim and matches well with a t-shirt. Then there’s Printed Denim with a dancing rose motif, pulled from the archives with a laser-etched tonal floral effect that’s signature for the brand. The Chambray Denim is notably used traditionally for denim shirting, and works well on the female form.

What’s also nice about the collection is that it flows well from day to evening. With the change of a shoe, and other accessories, a look can be elevated and change. You can find the full collection on dvf.com and at the brand’s flagship store in New York City.
