The landscape of luxury fashion is changing. Well, it has been changing for a while now where consumers are shopping smarter. Instead of choosing logos or trends, they are turning to heritage brands for their shopping needs. Consumers are investing in value holder items like jewelry, from brands that have a story and vision. Alexis Bittar is a self-taught jewelry designer with his own brand. His avant-garde designs, which are mostly made with Lucite captivate. It is Bittar that awakened costume jewelry in the 90s, making it a thing. That’s why we see celebrities from Caroline Stanbury to Zendaya sporting carefully selected costume jewelry pieces that stand out.

This new collection is a bold development of the brand’s signature aesthetic. Artful designs are modern drawing inspiration from the grandeur of mid-century glamour. Every piece is crafted, bringing together molten 14k gold plated metalwork with hand-sculpted, crystal-clear Lucite and precision-set pave. The collection is designed to move with the body and glimmer with intention. Take the Solanales Gold Crystal Fringe Chandelier Earring ($345), and the Solanales Gold Crystal Teardrop Leverback Earring ($275)- they move with the body and shimmer. The Panther Visage Lucite Hinge Cuff Bracelet ($295), with its clear band is poignant with its gold panther tipped ends.

Elevated. Grown Up. Classy. These words describe the collection. It’s also fun and flows well from day to evening. “These seven standout styles offer a tactile interplay of texture, light, and form,” explain the brand in announcement notes. “Designed to transcend season and trend, the FW25 Collection is a celebration of classic elegance with an avant-garde edge.” Because of the gold and white color palette, these looks go well with denim bottoms, the perfect top, and a loose-fitting blazer.

The collection pairs nicely with the brand’s Lucite Quad Handbag ($745). Structured and hand carved, its Lucite with 14k gold handle stands out the most. It also comes with a gold chain for the perfect crossbody effect.

As Alexis Bittar himself has collaborated with the likes of Burberry and Michael Kors. He stepped away from his brand in 2015 to focus on family and philanthropy, but revived it in 2021, expanding into handbags and boutiques. Sometimes when you step away, you come back with a larger vision.
