It’s soothing, relatable, and quintessentially Lainey

Released today via BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, Whirlwind delves into her life through an eclectic, however soulful and sonically healing group of 14 songs. It’s Country Music at its best and as GRAMMY®-winning Lainey Wilson likes to say at many of her shows: “Country Done Come to Town,” Whirlwind is Country Done Come Quick, as we soak up her melodious talent.

“I am so excited to finally announce Whirlwind. This album has been a long time coming, and I can’t wait for the world to have this body of work in their hands soon,” shares Lainey in album announcement notes.

The album is out today and can be downloaded wherever albums are downloaded.

Country’s Cool Again with its catchy beat ties into her aforementioned motto of “Country Done Come to Town.” It’s catchy and will make for some good Country Music dancing. But, the song that hits hard and is relatable to anyone who has had their heart broken is Broken Hearts Still Beat. It takes you back to those moments of raw heartache, only to realize that after time and perspective, that broken hearts do indeed still beat. And there’s something Watermelon Moonshine (from her 2022 album Bell Bottom Country), about the song 4x4xU on the new album that’s a reminder about how good love, when genuine, feels.

Then there’s Good Horses featuring Miranda Lambert, with its soothing beath, about needing the freedom to roam in love, and how a rope isn’t necessary because good horses (or trustworthy women) always come home. Call A Cowboy is a nod to the hard work and know-how of cowboys working with their hands.

Just like a fashion designer has a signature sartorial style, or a cook leans towards a particular spice or ingredient, so do musicians who tend to have a signature sound. As Lainey’s career has taken off with a couple of albums under her belt, you hear her signature sounds that you know the song playing is Lainey Wilson.

“This new chapter of music is the most cathartic and personal piece of art I’ve ever made. I hope this record brings some peace to your whirlwind and wraps its arms around you like it did for me,” she continues.

Lainey has made a name for herself over the last decade with four studio albums, seven music videos, three Eps, and eleven singles. She represents the determined, hardworking, farming community, and genuineness of understanding life kind-of-woman. Her song Things A Man Oughta Know, earned Lainey her first Platinum certified song, as well as many fans around the world, as she performs in Europe, the UK, and Australia. She has the most No.1’s this decade along with two GRAMMY nominations, six ACM, and seven CMA awards. And she has an acting credit under her belt, for when she played season 5 of Paramount’s hit-series Yellowstone.

Currently she’s on tour for her Country’s Cool Again Tour that’s in North America and Canada.
