Live Out the Gospel

Acts 18:9 “and the Lord said to Paul one night in a vision, “Do not be afraid, but go on speaking and do not be silent, for I am with you and no one will attack you or harm you”

When God calls you to do something, what is your reaction? Do you run and hide? Do you act like you can’t hear Him? Or do you jump and do as the Lord asks of you?

I know it's not easy to incline your ear to the Lord and do as He says. It takes a person after God's own heart to even know when the Lord is pulling at them. But we must be in tune with Him, to know that He has called us to do something.

When the Lord calls on us, it can happen in many ways. He will not stop calling on us until we do as He says. But there are also times when the Lord will call on us and, in our grumbling and complaining, He will stop to see if we really care to listen.

If we want to be children who truly listen to the Lord, we must listen to Him and live out the Gospel in our lives. A quote that my dear beloved says often is, “Preach the gospel and when necessary use words.” I believe this is a powerful declaration to Jesus. If we live like this, Jesus will want to use us. We have to be the hands and feet of Him on this earth.

Go forth and do the good work of Christ, and live out the call He has on your life!
