While the Met Gala happened last month, the coffee table book of this year’s gala theme Costume Art, published by Yale University Press launched today. It’s the perfect book that accompanies the exhibition going on at The Met, that’s running from May 10 – January 10, 2027.

Every year for the past eleven years, Richie Akiva has thrown his “The After” party in New York City. This year was a star-studded affair with with the who’s who in the celebrity world attending.

This new work explores Black dandy fashion and its representation in art and literature highlights the vibrant, complicated legacy of a recognizable yet constantly shifting style, from its origins in Enlightenment Europe to the contemporary art and fashion worlds.
