The Full Circle Moment
The journey of a thousand miles begins with a promise from the Lord
The Lord is taking us full circle with Him in this season, like Sarah in Genesis 18 when the angel of the Lord spoke to Abraham to say that Sarah will have a child. The Bible tells us that Sarah laughed within herself. Now the bible is quite clear in that she laughed within because none of us dare laugh out loud, because a part of you wants to really believe this promise and as a result you laugh within yourself.
The word of God tells us in later chapters of Genesis, more specifically in Genesis 20 that Sarah laughed but this time out loud. She laughed out loud because the Lord and given her the promise that she would bare a son. Now laughing out loud was from a place of joy and happiness from the place of holding the promise in her hands.
Every journey always begins with a promise, a promise of a destination. Likewise, our journey with the Lord begins with a promise, when the Lord first spoke to Abraham He said that Abraham should leave his kindred, his family and go to a place that the Lord will tell him. God later spoke to Abraham regarding a promise that he would have as many descendants as there are stars in the sky.
Your journey and mine began with the promise that salvation is ours, and from then on there have been promise after promise after promise and even till this day Abba the Sovereign God is still making us promises, promises of husbands, children, businesses, houses, territories, sheep, an abundant life, etc. There is truly no limit and there are no bounds with regard to what the Lord can promise you if you can believe He can do it.
The Lord wants to take this journey with each and every one of us if we would just allow Him to take us on this full circle journey with Him, He wants to do that for you and for me what He promised He would do, which is give us the abundant life. Let us laugh now even if we are in the place of doubt and wondering can the Lord really do it, but let it be from that place of joy for the Lord has done wonders amongst us, as we wait on Him for the manifestation of so many of those promises. Let us laugh for He hath already done it, “it is done” in the words of Jesus everything God has for you has been done and is laid up for you as you journey with Him.
This evening as I was about to finalize this, the Holy spirit brought to my remembrance a Scripture I had read previously, I don’t remember when but it was highlighted on my Bible app, it is Psalm 78:9 in the NKJV which reads as follows, “the children of Ephraim turned back on the day of battle.”
Don’t doubt what the Lord has spoken to you because you have doubt in your heart, don’t doubt for you have been given all the tools that you need to succeed.
