Trisha Yearwood Has A New Album Out

The 3-time GRAMMY® winner co-wrote every track

Country Music singer Trisha Yearwood has a new album out, her sixteenth studio album called The Mirror. For her, it’s a deeply personal album where she invested her time and energy by being a co-writer on every track.

Made up of 15 tracks, Yearwood dives into themes of resilience, identity, forgiveness, and feminine strength. Her soulful Country sound brings the songs to life, of which she co-produced with two-time GRAMMY® winner Chad Carlson. Songs Girls Night In and The Record Plays On (featuring Charles Kelley), along with the title track The Mirror show the 60-year-old’s voice and storytelling is still strong as ever. She still has what it takes in a newer era of Country Music.

“When I was 19 years old someone told me I wasn’t a songwriter, and I let that be the truth for a very long time,” says Yearwood. “But at some point, in the past few years, something shifted and I started writing and then just never stopped. You’d think that after all this time I’d have nothing new to share, but now I feel like I’m on a whole new adventure.”

Originally from Georgia, Yearwood worked for a record company and sang background vocals for artists (including her husband Garth Brooks) before stepping out on her own in 1990.

She’s got a long list of events to celebrate the new album. Yearwood will connect with fans around the US through various performances, which included the Today Show and the Grand Ole Opry. Today she will headline the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s Trisha Yearwood and Friends Celebrate Linda Ronstadt and Los Angeles Country-Rock, a special evening featuring performances by Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris, Patti Scialfa, and James Taylor.

This week she’s also doing album signings. On July 23rd she will be at Barnes & Noble in Chattanooga, TN; and on July 24th she will be at the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors' Center (Yearwood’s Hometown in Georgia).
