On Friday, Cece Winans original song For Your Glory was released. The 17- time GRAMMY® Award winner, gives fans of the Prime Video series, which details the life of King David, a taste of brand-new music from season two.

Season 1 saw over 40 million views around the world and was quickly renewed. Season 2 is streaming on Wonder Project’s subscription on Prime Video, and is set to be available on Prime Video globally at a later date. In the second season of the series, Israel nears collapse as King Saul’s reign begins to fall. David is lifted from shepherd to warrior, yet caught in the middle of loyalty and destiny. The season transitions from fractured families, forbidden love, and shifted alliances, which clash with faith and power that will define Israel’s future.

“‘For Your Glory’ is a powerful song that I know will touch the lives of so many,” Winans explains in announcement notes, adding, “I pray that House of David continues to be the strong series that it is so that God will be glorified throughout the Earth.”

The song was written by Winans, Pat Barrett and Kyle Lee- and rooted in the poetry of King David, who, was a mighty warrior but had the emotional connection to write heart-wrenching and endearing words. “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, oh Lord, my strength and my Redeemer,” are some of the lyrics found in the song, which come directly from Psalm 19:14.

Set to come this spring is Capitol Christian Music Group, who will bring the historical dream to life, though in song. Season 1 saw music from KING + COUNTRY, NEEDTOBREATH, and Tori Kelly, and this upcoming project will include all-new songs, written and recorded by Christian music’s top singers and songwriters.
