As Nashville’s hotel, The Hermitage transforms into the city’s most enchanting holiday destination each December, a place where generations have come together to celebrate the magic of the season. A dazzling 15-foot Christmas tree stands proudly in the Grand Lobby, a cherished tradition that dates back decades. Adorned with the hotel’s collection of glass ornaments and garlands sourced over the years by Managing Director Dee Patel, the tree is surrounded by magnolia-draped banisters, glowing wreaths, and richly layered décor throughout the Veranda and Ballroom, where color palettes of dusty blues, copper tones, and deep reds reflect each room’s timeless beauty. Just across the street, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center hosts Nashville’s beloved Nutcracker performances, the perfect complement to The Hermitage’s own Nutcracker Tea, a beloved annual tradition since 2021. Guests can savor bite-size sweets, festive drinks, and live music in the Veranda, surrounded by holiday splendor, before or after attending the ballet. Families can also share in the joy of the season with Breakfast with Santa in the Grand Ballroom on Christmas Eve, complete with storytime, photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a special gift for every child. And on Christmas Day, the celebration continues with The Hermitage Hotel’s iconic Christmas Brunch in the Grand Lobby, featuring a lavish holiday menu of prime rib, Cornish game hens, a seafood bar, and a decadent dessert table with seasonal favorites like eggnog cheesecake. From Nashville’s Nutcracker and Nutcracker Tea to the grand traditions that fill its storied halls, The Hermitage Hotel is the heart of the holidays in Music City, where every gathering feels like coming home.
