Pandemic Days- Embracing Life as It Is

This Valentine’s week, the pandemic will have been going on for quite a few years now. No one imagined that we’d be living such pandemic days. More than anything else, now is the time to embrace life as it is.

It may seem that we have our horrible days along with the pandemic like getting terribly ill (and yes, that does seem to make things a lot worse than they are), and so we need to deal with everything. Just remember that there are far worse situations and being unwell with a stomachache or something is alright. It’s on such pandemic days that we should just accept the situation as is and then we can truly embrace life right now.

Another such pandemic day is when we don’t have the time to dress the way we want to. On such days, try to dress in the best way that you possibly can, even if it means that you wear sweatpants and a nice shirt during a virtual meeting. You should try not to show that you are wearing sweatpants and instead focus only on the top half of your video. But if this isn’t possible, then you should not wear sweatpants or pajama pants no matter what as that’s disrespectful. Wear normal pants or something similar.

There are days when we feel like we have no energy to do anything for whatever reason, and those are the pandemic days that we should really pay attention to. On such days, it’s better to do as much as you can, whether it’s work-related or taking care of the house or whatever else it might be. At first, it may seem a bit hard to complete such tasks, but it will help you feel better. Try to do each task step by step and take your time. It’s alright if you can’t finish everything that you planned to do that day; you’re human after all.

The pandemic days are still going on, but that doesn’t mean we have to feel upset about having a bad day, not dressing up, or not having much energy. This Valentine’s week we should embrace life as it is and remember that life is beautiful. We should remind ourselves to feel grateful for everything that we have at this moment. Life is a gift; live it well and fulfill your dreams.
