THE REVIEW
Background
Part of Marriott hotels, the Moxy Nice is a year old, having opened in June 2025. When you walk through the hotel you can feel the newness of it. Moxy hotels are for the young at heart, where you check in at Bar Moxy and take in the youthful feel of the hotel. In the lobby there is a pool table and fun hip areas to sit in. You’ll find an array of guests from airline pilots, to young people, to tourists, and those on business staying at the hotel. You can also earn Marriott Bonvoy® points staying at the hotel.
Where Is It?
What’s nice about the hotel is that it is centrally located and easily accessible to most parts of the city due to the tram that’s located in front of the hotel. Sitting between the center of Nice and the Nice Airport, it’s the perfect place to stay if you’re visiting for tourism or business.
What’s It Like?
The hotel is modern so as soon as you walk through the entrance you feel the youth and modernity of the property. The lobby, reception, and restaurant are all in one space, flowing well together. There is construction in the area which shows it’s up-and-coming, so right now there isn’t any vibrancy to the immediate area around the hotel- which includes no restaurants. The hotel has a menu that you can eat from but you will have to go into the city of Nice to find a restaurant. There is a Super-U supermarket being built across from the hotel entrance but it has not opened yet.
We had an unpleasant experience where, even though we had a do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping proceeded to enter the room regardless. This naturally made us upset. We spoke to reception and contacted the general manager who has yet to acknowledge the situation.

Rooms
There are 112 rooms in the hotel, which are all spacious and similar to American sized hotel rooms. With an industrial design guests will feel welcomed and part of the hotel. The Moxy Queen Sleeper includes a queen-sized bed with permanent brown leather pillows that make it easy to sit up in bed. A colorful crab pillow adds Moxy fun to the bed. There is no closet but a large multi-squared flat sculptured includes hook and hangers that clothes can be hung from. All rooms come with a flat 50-inch TV, and USB and USB-C connectors. An iron is not provided in each room, rather on select floors in common areas.

Food and Drink

Breakfast is served every morning from 6:30am until 9:30am weekdays, and until 11am on weekends. There you’ll find scrambled eggs, sausage, and baked beans. There’s also a section of sliced meats and cheese, along with coleslaw, cherry tomatoes, a selection of breads with jams, fresh fruit, a coffee/tea station, and juice. The breakfast is really good.
The lobby restaurant bar has a menu that includes homemade pizza.

There is a meeting space and rooftop space, both including 24/7 high-speed wifi.
Leisure
The gym is opened from 6am-10pm every day and includes cardio, strength equipment, free weights, exercise bikes and a stair climber. It’s also spacious making it an idea work out space.
Verdict
Verdict Aside from housekeeping ignoring the do not disturb sign, we would recommend to stay in the hotel, but perhaps stress to the front desk that you don’t want housekeeping going into your room if you have the sign on the door.
Best For breakfast
Don’t Miss the pool table in the lobby.
