The Italian hotel brand Rocco Forte will open a new hotel in Europe’s fashion hub of Milan on November 6th. Named The Carlton Milan, the hotel will be accepting reservations from September 2nd onwards. This will be Rocco Forte’s sixteenth property and second property in Milan. The interior is designed by Philip Vergeylen and Paolo Moschino, the duo behind Hunting Lodge in the Scottish Highlands and Hotel de Russie in Rome. They also collaborated with Lady Olga Polizzi, who is a former Westminster City Council councilor and represented Lancaster Gate in London. She is also the co-founder of Rocco Forte Hotels.
“With its blend of heritage, attention to detail, and intuitive luxury, the hotel offers a modern homage to the legendary Carlton name,” explains the hotel in announcement notes. Located in the heart of the city, its entrances will be on Via Senato 5 and Via della Spiga 8. A unique aspect of the hotel is that guests can have up close and personal experiences with art, design, food, and wellness.
The hotel will be comprised of 71 rooms and suites, and be made to feel like a private residence. Food will be overseen by Chef Fulvio Pierangelini, in which he will preside of the restaurant, cocktail bar, and inner garden, providing calm in the kinesthetic energy of Milan. The Irene Forte Spa will include nature-led rituals and longevity to the city, with treatment rooms, wet areas, a relaxation lounge, a fitness center, as well as a hair and beauty salon.
