The new building is a dialogue between heritage and creativity, plus the new collection is an celebration of 60 years of the brand

So, on Thursday night Roger Vivier opened up the doors to their new Paris headquarters in a Saint-Germain-des-Prés residence that celebrates heritage, creativity, and the iconic belle Vivier. The new home for the brand at 98 Rue de l’Université is the neighborhood that Mr. Vivier once called home himself. The move to open a new headquarters reaffirms the brand’s position of exceptional luxury houses, where luxury products aren’t just the point, but also an artistic experience.

So more on this hôtel particulier. Built in 1729 by royal architect Jacques Gilet de la Fontine, it has seen 300 years of history pass through its walls. Owned by the French government and other private individuals, its details are poignant. The grand staircase, the rich filigree detailing, and the secret garden inspired by classical French design is what makes the property truly enviable.

As guests arrived to the opening cocktail, they were met with the quintessential red carpet positioned at the entryway. Once inside, archived Roger Vivier items were on display on the walls, in glass boxes, and on tables in the Salon de l'Heritage. The front room is very much like a museum in what’s termed as La Salle des Archives. Over a thousand items from magazines, photos, shoes, and sketches were on display. Also on display was a prototype for Princess Soraya in 1962, documents from Queen Elizabeth II’s Coronation shoes, a 1966 Dior sandal, and the Belle Vivier that was launched in 1965 for Yves Saint Lauent’s Mondrian collection.

There were many-a-celebrity attending. The first person spotted was Olivia Palermo, calling out to a friend to take a selfie. The outdoor garden, which is divine, was totally packed with guests mingling, laughing, and taking in the night. Italian designer and the brand’s Creative Director Gherardo Felloni, was dressed in a full black on black suit with a uniquely designed necklace. Warmly greeting guests, we took a selfie. Wrapped around the staircase was a flamboyant pink flower display.

Once upstairs, the new collection could be viewed. Themed Belle Vivier 60, the spring-summer 2026 collection is an ode to the brand’s 60th anniversary. “The collection honors both continuity and innovation, reaffirming the Belle Vivier as a timeless icon,” explains the brand in notes. Launched in 1965, the Roger Vivier brand became known for its iconic square buckle that has been redefined by Felloni in the new collection. The buckle can be seen on bags and accessories.

The new headquarters will be a unique place for the brand to showcase the brilliance and the craftsmanship of elevated cobblery.
