What are you mourning over that God has long moved on from?

We as humans tend to desire a position, which brings a title, followers, influence, honor and can inflate the ego if we let it. But, what’s the use of having a position if you don’t hunger more for His presence?

There have been times when I’m driving with the GPS and I feel it doesn’t know where it’s going, so I decide to take a different route, only to find myself lost or locked into a traffic jam.

As believers in God it is our duty to be faithful to what it means to be a Christian. It is our duty to live out the tenants of our faith and let the light of Jesus shine through us. But, how does God measure our faithfulness to Him?

Innovation is a key part of life. When we don’t innovate, when we don’t shift (change), we will lose out on growth. God, our Creator is an innovator. He’s often doing something new.

On this #goodfriday #friday, I found myself in Philippians and Colossians, where I was reminded of how a "real Christian" is supposed to act. If we seek and knock the door will be opened.

Life has many uncertainties- that’s its certainty. But Jesus is certain and because He is certain we can trust when He’s driving the bus. But, in order to trust Him we must surrender. The bus I decided to hop on, it’s driver and I couldn’t both sit in the driver seat. And just like with God, Him and “we” cannot sit in the driver seat of the route He has planned for our lives.

I can relate to Sarah. She’s a go-getter. I’m a go-getter. Us go-getters make things happen. But despite us go-getters making things happen, there will be times in life that God will make us wait. There are times He will make us all wait for His promises. And there’s nothing worse than having to live with the consequences of not waiting on God.
