He Wants to Be Let In
Have you ever felt emotional, like just breaking down in tears because you’re trying to keep everything inside? There are moments in life when tears seem to be the only solution to all that’s going on inside. It’s important to let it out and I think God wants us to let out and express our emotions in a healthy way.
I grew up in a household where my father has the upmost respect for God, but that didn’t include being so open with God about being angry- even with Him- for life and its challenges. God our Creator and God our Father is strong, trust me, He can take anything we need to say to Him, even if we’re mad at Him. For most of my early adulthood, I was never that real with God to let Him know my frustrations in life with myself, with others, or with Him. It wasn’t until I was living in Germany and life threw all kinds of challenges that I was overwhelmed and I learned to let it out and let Him in- no matter how big or how small the situation seemed. The Holy Spirit didn’t push me, but rather, He guided me into letting Himself in to my emotions and situation.
Even in life’s hardest moments, the Holy Spirit wants to be there and for us and to let Him in. Even in life’s most breaking moments, the Holy Spirit wants to be there and for us and to let Him in. Event in life’s most joyous moments, the Holy Spirit wants to be there and for us to let Him in.
One of the names for God “El Shaddai.” The Hebrew name for Shaddai is ‘breast.’ The first root is “powerful” and the second root is “breast or nourisher.” God is our protective Father but He loves to hold us and nourish us like a mother. And being real with God means that we tell Him how we’re feeling and we let the Holy Spirit comfort us, then we make sure to align ourselves with the will of God.
So, in whatever you’re going through, be sure to let the Holy Spirit in. Say whatever you need to say to God, let out the emotions, but then come to Him with words of alignment, and trust Him in whatever the situation you’re going through. He wants us to be real with Him and let Him in totally and 100%.
