‘Your Marriage Is Your Inheritance,’ says the Lord

Do you feel it?

The uncomfortable feeling that seems to trouble you, it feels like pain, but it isn’t pain, it’s the obvious and sudden shift in the atmosphere. You have crossed over into your new land and with it comes a newness I urge you to become familiar with. You no longer await the manna, instead you eat the produce of the land, the fruit of your land. Here, you reap what you sow; what you have sown in tears, so you will reap in joy.

I see how you light up, filled with the excitement of this new territory. You have never been here before, but you can feel the land pregnant with potential- the atmosphere brooding over your life’s sudden transformation. Every step is a door of adventure- you explore the valley’s, float freely in every river, and scale the terrains. However, alongside that excitement, lives a seed of fear. You are frightened by the bones and traces of the giants that once lived in this very land. So, you shy away till the caves and bays you first danced in become the hollows and creeks you hide in, but I am here to remind you that you have nothing to fear.

I am your God, and I have given you this land. Instead, cast away the fear- violently oppose it, for it has no room in this land. Once again, you have NOTHING to fear. The giants that once inhabited this land will no longer drink of the joy for which you have laboured. I will never allow the enemy to steal your grain as food. Everything you have planted will be harvested and enjoyed by you and your descendants.

I have prepared for you a ‘Harvest Table of Love’, in this land you will feast on love. I will set this table in the midst of your enemies who will continuously fall short in their quests. You will reap and be glad in this land, but take heed, for this new land requires a change in you that at first may feel strange. It requires a new way of living, a new language and custom, a new set of garments, new ways of thinking and perceiving, even new ways of believing and receiving. To become one with this newness, you are required to sanctify yourself and your surroundings. Remove all that hinders you. Say ‘no’ to whatever destroys your peace, and make sure that you detach from every old tie. The past and all it carries must be left behind, it will not and cannot survive here.

Although this land is characterised by abundance, it will only nurture that which is in season. Although this landscape is unfamiliar, you will quickly learn that it is uniquely designed to cater to you and your every need. Yes, you have crossed over. You have entered your Promise Land and just like Caleb, you have inherited the land of Hebron, the land of unity, relationship, alliance, and friendship. As you explore and encounter the many streams and peaks of my compassion, see how this land not only holds your union but also carries the deep longings of your prosperity, legacy, and intimacy with Me. This land holds no limit and reaches no capacity, for this land is sustained by My love for you, which stretches further than your eye can see. I repeat, you have nothing to fear, the goodness and purity of this land is your inheritance. You can rely on this harvest to usher you into knowledge and personal experience of who I really am, what I am capable of, and just how far I am willing to go to bring my salvation to you.

As you settle and become acquainted, receive true rest, and accept true love. The love that is rooted in this ground is like no other and will suddenly manifest like you have never seen before.  Do not fret, simply just enlarge your tent. Do not hesitate, simply stretch out your curtains and do not spare them. Do not worry, this time it is here to stay. Allow me to prepare you for this new love, and as you grow into your new identity, I ask that you no longer hesitate to possess this land. Actually, how much longer will you refuse to possess this land?
